"The Reality Tour" an Interactive Drug Prevention Program

DuBois Central Catholic offers The Reality Tour every year to 6th grade students and their parents.  However, the tour is offered to any interested DCC students in grades 7-12th who have not previously attended the program.  The program is offered to educate parents and their children about substance abuse and alert them about decision making that could lead to substance abuse.

What should you expect during the tour? The drug prevention program is centered around a theater skit in "reality" which depicts students at a party who are faced with drug/alcohol temptations and experimentation.  It follows the decisions of one student attending the party and shows the significant impacts that drug and alcohol use have on his/her life.

Few opportunities arise where parents can attend a program alongside their child to learn and open dialog about topics that may not be regularly discussed in the home.  Admission for parents and children is covered entirely by the Frank Varischetti Foundation.

The event will be held at Brockway Area Jr./Sr. High School on Wed., Feb. 19th at 6 pm.  Doors open at 5:30 pm.

This year, DCC Principal Karrie Miller is offering a FREE pizza party for the 6th grade class for full attendance/participation at the drug prevention program!

Parents should register today using the PDF form below and return it to the DCC Middle/High School Office.
